HEALING HAPPENS IN THE COMMUNITY.
Phoenix Creative Therapy Workshops offering small group support in the South Cotswolds.
Join a small, safe circle. No artistic talent required.
Workshop 1:
The Unseen Architect
Who it is for: This workshop is designed for families with neurodiverse children or the parents themselves, who often live in a constant state of "masking" to fit societal expectations.
What to expect: It provides a safe, low-demand sanctuary where individuals can comfortably "take the mask off," reducing stress through non-verbal self-expression and identifying their true, "Poso" energy. The goal is to address the exhaustion and anxiety caused by this performance.
The Experience: We will use intuitive art and a variety of "masking" materials (like tape and vellum) to physically layer and then "reveal" elements, exploring the boundary between your public performance and your authentic sanctuary
Workshop 3:
The Navigator’s Map
Who it is for: This workshop is for individuals navigating significant life transitions, such as menopause, fertility challenges, grief, or chronic pain. These transitions can feel like a "grit" in the system, causing a sense of being lost or overwhelmed.
What to expect: The session uses tactile grounding to help clients identify their "ancient wisdom" and find solid "bamboo roots" (anchors) that provide stability and resilient optimism during the storm of change.
The Experience: By mixing sand into heavy-body acrylic paint, you will engage your kinesthetic senses to create a "tactile map". This helps you identify your current internal anchors and foundations.
Workshop 2:
Unfreezing the Corporate Swan
Who it is for: This session is tailored for workplace professionals and corporate teams who appear graceful and calm on the surface but are "paddling frantically" underneath. It is for those who are "always switched on," suffering from the "fuzzy brain" of chronic admin, workload, and multi-role demands.
What to expect: The workshop uses somatic release to help these "swans" unfreeze the tension trapped in their bodies and find a fluid sense of agency.
The Experience: Using charcoal, you will literally draw the "shackles" of your multi-roles. Then, using water and bright colours to "melt" or "unfreeze" these marks, you will watch the rigid lines blend into a new, fluid landscape of release..
Workshop 4:
The Memory Weaver
Who it is for: This workshop is designed for those experiencing "foggy" cognitive transitions—including seniors navigating early-stage dementia or Alzheimer's, individuals going through menopause-related brain fog, and children with poor memory recall.
What to expect: This session offers a peaceful sanctuary to bypass the frustration of "forgetting" by using sensory art to capture the essence of a feeling or memory, helping to reduce the anxiety of cognitive gaps and reconnecting with a steady, inner sense of self.
The Experience: Using collage and sensory layering with soft fabrics and watercolours, you will capture the "shimmer" of a memory or an emotion that feels out of reach. You will focus on the essence rather than the detail.

Why We Cap at Eight. You will notice our groups are never larger than eight people. This isn't an arbitrary number. Clinical research suggests that eight is the "Goldilocks" number for therapeutic group work, small enough to ensure you are heard, but large enough to create a diverse micro-community. In the corporate world, this is called a "Jeff Bezos Pizza Team" (if you can't feed a team with two pizzas, it's too big). At Phoenix Creative Therapy, we just call it the "Magic Number." It creates a container safe enough for the mask to drop, and intimate enough that healing starts where talking stops.
Workshop 5:
The Sacred Vessel
Who it is for: This workshop is designed for those in the "Waiting Room" of life—specifically those navigating the uncertainty of fertility journeys (IVF), the trauma of a NICU experience, or the heavy silence of waiting for a diagnosis regardless of condition.
What to expect: This session offers a gentle way to process grief and hope simultaneously, helping to stabilize the nervous system when everything feels out of control. It provides a container for the complex "unspoken" emotions that traditional talk therapy often fails to reach.
The Experience: You will create a symbolic "container" by decorating a jar or small box to safely hold your unspoken feelings. You will use metallic pens to draw "veins of gold" through the cracks, acknowledging that beauty and resilience can exist alongside the pain
THE PHOENIX WEEKEND RETREAT (Coming Soon)
Sometimes, a 60-minute session isn't quite enough time to unpack the heavy bags we have been carrying. Imagine an entire weekend dedicated to dropping the mask, stepping out of the noise, and truly repairing your nervous system.
I am currently in the planning stages of curating our first residential weekend retreat. To ensure this is a deeply nourishing experience, I am actively exploring collaborations with other trusted wellness practitioners. Together, we are building a multi-disciplinary sanctuary where creative therapy meets holistic care.
The Benefits of an Immersive Weekend:
Profound Nervous System Reset: Stepping entirely out of your daily environment (and leaving the endless mental load at the door) allows your body to finally switch off its "survival mode."
Uninterrupted Processing: Without the pressure of the therapy clock ticking, we have the time to move deeply through the creative process. We can use art, nature, and somatic tools at a gentle, completely unforced pace.
Collaborative Healing: By partnering with other holistic experts (such as somatic movement or breathwork practitioners), we provide a "wrap-around" experience that nourishes the mind, body, and soul simultaneously.
Authentic Connection: Sharing a physical, expanded "Kitchen Table" over a few days builds profound community. It is a rare chance to connect with a small, intimate group of people who truly understand the "squiggly lines" of life.
